Quiet Tempest Reptiles

Makalo as a baby shown with a normal of same size for comparison.

This little one I found at a local pet store and labeled as a normal female. I was delighted when I saw her and picked her up on the spot despite the fact that they said she had never eaten while in their care. Once home, I had no trouble at all getting her to take a live mouse and, later on, freshly killed rodents.

Unfortunately, after probing this snake it appears that this is not a little lady and his name was changed from "Flora" (my daughter's pick) to "Makalo" (African word meaning surprise).

As of September 15, 2010 there is no doubt about it. This is definitely a little boy and he isn't bashful when it comes to ladies.
